Parador de Ronda
Ronda, Spain
Ronda is a very picturesque place with plenty of great-looking architecture and historical sites which made this quaint town a prime destination for our traveling troupe which consisted of my wife, her brother, and his wife. We stayed at the equally picturesque Parador de Ronda which overlooks the El Tajo gorge. As one of Spain's most famous Parador hotels, it sits adjacent to the city's most famous landmark, the Puente Nuevo bridge.

Habitat Suites Gran Vía 17
Granada, Spain
One of the hotels that appealed to us due to its convenient central location is the Habitat Suites Gran Vía 17. Situated near the Granada Cathedral, the Plaza Isabel La Catolica, and the Madraza of Granada, everything my wife wanted to see was within walking distance. We had a very good initial impression when we arrived with a friendly lady manning the front desk and a bottle of complimentary wine waiting for us in our room.

The Westin Palace Madrid
Madrid, Spain
The Westin Palace Madrid was our first hotel stay on our tour of Spain and it was certainly an impressive start. The hotel is conveniently located in central Madrid and was close to the museums my wife wanted to go to and the restaurants I planned to dine in.

Hotel Skt Annae Copenhagen
Copenhagen, Denmark
Formerly the Hotel Neptun, the Hotel Skt Annae is located in the heart of Copenhagen, a very short walk away from Nyhavn Harbour and close to the Royal Theatre as well as to the Strøget shopping street. The Skt Annae also has a bit of history: it was established in 1851 by a Mrs. Svendsen and was run illegally as an unlicensed hotel for smugglers and a wide variety of other guests. To be allowed into the hotel, a pass phrase had to be given: "Neptune".

Norwegian Air - New York to Copenhagen on the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner
We began our European trip with a flight on Norwegian Air from New York to Copenhagen, Denmark. I was pretty excited to try out the new Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner. I hate flying mostly because of how uncomfortable it is for me and by most accounts, the Dreamliner promises to be one of the most comfortable flying experiences available.

Portland, Maine Restaurants
Portland, Maine, United States
We trekked up to Portland, Maine for a three-day weekend exclusively to try out the great restaurants we've heard about. Not only were we impressed that every restaurant we tried on our list had excellent dishes but we were also pleasantly surprised by the universally friendly service. I enjoyed my time here and want to head back to finish up our restaurant list.

Boston Area Restaurants
Boston, Massachusetts, United States
We've lived in Boston for a little over three years now and these are the places we consider worth trying at least once ordered by our most preferred place to dine in per price category. The map at the bottom includes far more that we didn't include in this list for one reason or another.

Three-Star Michelin Dining in Japan
I finally made my way to Japan and despite my reservations, decided to try their three-star Michelin ranked restaurants. They were very different from how I expected them to be. Same satisfaction, different feeling.

Chase Ultimate Rewards
This is the rewards program I initially started with and have been loyal to. These are the cards that are most recommended to people especially if they go all-in on the Ultimate Rewards program due to a large number of transfer partners with transfer rates usually at a 1:1 ratio.

Credit Card Rewards Programs
You can make the topic of credit cards rewards as simple or as complicated as you want it to be. The basic premise is that the rewards given out by credit card companies can help you offset your travel costs or even get you travel perks you normally wouldn't want to pay for. In fact, I started doing all of the research on credit card rewards programs because I absolutely hate the flying experience as it is now and I either kept my flights as short as possible or avoided it altogether.
